Earthpac invests in logistics services
“Five trucks out and two trucks in every day” – this is Earthpac Oy's pace at the plant in Äänekoski, where large investments in logistics services are currently taking place. One truck can hold about 800 EUR pallets and a weight of about 15 tons.
The plant in Äänekoski, established ten years ago, specializes in wooden packaging products. Pallet production uses a line manufactured by the Swedish IMH Service Ab. In addition to this line, a new and more efficient automatic pallet line from Mechanica Cape will be introduced. As well as other production, the plant will manufacture standard pallets, such as FIN and EUR pallets and disposable pallets.
The plant in Äänekoski serves customers in all parts of Finland, from south to north. The new logistics terminal, which meets the requirements of the investment programme, is now completed. A lot of storage space is needed for both raw materials and final products.
